Hello 2025!

Every January my husband, pup Blue and I start the year in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Since it’s still winter we always watch for the break in the rain pattern before we head over for a week. It’s our home away from home.

I love being out in nature, it’s the place where I find most my inspiration besides in my bridal atelier. Something about being out in nature: it clears my mind and helps me pause. It’s when I like to set new dreams and visualize how I want my business to grow. Mostly the meaningful kind of growth. One of my main goals for my business is to never let it feel like it’s actual work, but a magical place where I’m drawn to daily, a place where I find and express creativity. I try achieving it by setting smaller goals.

When in Cannon Beach, we walk and hike for miles every day. We talk about things, dream about things, we get to see the most beautiful sunsets and watch our doggie enjoy himself chasing waves and seagulls.

Our favorite beach walk starts at Tolovana State Park. We like walking south for a mile and a half towards Arcadia Beach. Most of the times it’s just the three of us walking the beach. It’s one of the reasons why we love visiting in January. But Cannon Beach is magical year round.

Our favorite hike is in the Ecola Creek Forest Reserve. About a mile and a half one way deep in the forest.

I’m not much into New Year’s resolutions but I like focusing in setting up the small achievable goals at the beginning of each year.

My wedding dress business slowly shifted the last five years. The majority of our brides are now the ones who choose to elope. And most, if not all of our brides are from out of state and out of the country.

During this organic transition to selling mostly online I tried to perfect the “virtual” wedding dress process. There’s much that goes into this process. The two most important aspects are: first to help our brides visualize themselves in their favorite “Daci wedding dress”. And second is to make sure their dream wedding dress fits them perfectly without any “in person” fittings. I’m happy to say we have perfected those two aspects pretty well.

Since the online presence grew so much I started to write and share more blogs the last couple of years. A way to help our brides know more about us, and how our unique wedding dresses are created. I’m not a writer and writing doesn’t come easy to me, it’s not like creating a wedding dress. But I’m doing it thinking it’s a way I share and communicate with my brides about what I love doing the most. And with a little discipline I wrote and shared over 15 blogs just the last year.

Yet something I felt was still missing. I couldn’t pin point what it was but it became more clear this year while on our little trip to Cannon Beach. My goal is to create a space here on the blog where the brides who connect with us online will feel that their experience with us is just as personal as if they were here in person.

Daci Gowns bridal atelier is a space of inspiration and the place where the wedding dresses come to life. The brides who visit our atelier immerse themselves in a world of ethereal silks, whimsical laces, intricate details, and unfolding dress designs.

The brides who got to visit our bridal atelier and boutique in the past, also had the unique opportunity to see not only our current bridal line but also our new wedding dresses in progress. They were even able to choose a wedding dress before it was officially released to the public.

To bridge this gap, I’m are excited to announce that I will be starting a series of personalized blogs focused on our newest wedding dresses that are currently in the works. Through those upcoming blog series, I aim to provide everyone with insights into these wedding dresses as they are being created. I want to make everyone feel as you are walking through our atelier and witnessing the creative process firsthand, ensuring that you don’t miss a single detail.
