Heidi wedding dress design variations - Part 1

I wanted to create a blog to help our brides visualize and better understand what we truly mean when we refer to the concept of “design variations.” This will offer insights into the various options available, to see how different elements can be combined and ultimately customize your chosen Daci Gown to reflect your unique style.

I picked one of our most loved and sought after wedding dresses: Heidi.

HEIDI WEDDING DRESS DESIGN VARIATIONS:

In case you are not yet familiar with our Heidi wedding dress, I will start by adding a first photo below with the original, first design.

Heidi is a whimsical, A-line silhouette wedding dress, sweetheart neckline and silk chiffon flowy skirt. The bodice has a heavy beaded floral lace placed asymmetrical, silk ruching at the bust and fishtail braids. Pastel hues of champagne, blush and dusty lavender.

  • To emphasize the waistline, I overlapped two pieces of silk chiffon over the floral lace detail. The silk chiffon used for the overlapping is the lightest available, allowing for a sheer effect that showcases the lace underneath. The overlapped waist detail is priced at $150.

  • I also added eight extra panels to the skirt and a touch of dusty blue (on the left). The added eight extra panels priced at $375

  • One of our brides wanted us to customize her Heidi wedding dress by using hues of blush only. There is no extra charge to change the hues.

  • She also picked the Dawn bell sleeves with ribbons to style her Heidi dress. We created those for her in blush hues to match her gown. The bell sleeves or flowy sleeves are priced separately and you can find them under Finishing Touches.

  • Our bride loved Heidi wedding dress but wanted to try a different lace for the top. Instead of using the heavy beaded floral lace we used a whimsical embroidered lace with wildflowers. The lace has gold accents and we used extra champagne hues in the skirt. The wildflowers lace variation is priced at $350.
