It was an extra special year here at Daci Gowns. My daughter Andra got married. After designing and creating many princess dresses, ballet tutus, homecoming and prom dresses for her, the time has come to create her wedding gown. It was very special.

We started by picking out the lace. Her favorite was a lace from Germany and had embroidered butterflies, flowers and cranes. She knew she wanted an A line silhouette for the wedding dress, a classy, timeless design, touched with magic. For the neckline she wasn’t sure if she wanted a V neckline, straps or strapless, and we created different tops to see which one was her favorite. Andra ended up picking the strapless, sweetheart neckline, corset style and decided to add the tulle flowy sleeves for a whimsical, romantic look. The lace skirt had a layer of tulle over it just to add more dimension and magic to the wedding dress. You will see Michael’s reaction when he first saw her, in the photo below.

Andra also envisioned a royal length veil with ruffles details. The balcony photo below shows off the length of her custom veil.

Andra is a wedding photographer and planned ahead all the details of their elopement day. She dreamed about the “getting ready” photos, the dress and robe she wanted to wear while getting ready. We created those for her! The silk “getting ready” dress had a high slit on the side, open back and lace detail. The silk chiffon robe had bell sleeves with ruffles and a small train, just enough to pick the wind and flow beautifully.

Michael and Andra planned their elopement in Tuscany, Italy to the smallest details. It was the most beautiful, romantic, intimate, laid back elopement.. The photos below show their love, happiness and also their creative vision for their magical day. The day started with getting the beautiful venue ready, flowers arrangements, table setting for cocktail hour. Pre ceremony prayer, vows exchange, group photos and the first dance. The day ended with a intimate reception at a local restaurant, eating pizza and drinking wine, with live music, dancing and singing.
