How to choose my wedding dress?

For most brides to be choosing their wedding dress comes easy. They schedule fittings at two or three local bridal shops and find their dream dress. Some find their wedding dresses over the internet.

I wanted to write this blog for the brides that have a hard time finding their dream dress. First of all I’m not a writer and always had a hard time putting my thoughts on paper, but hoping you will get some inspiration from it.

I have worked with hundreds of brides and all of the brides that I helped had something in common: they couldn’t find their dream dress anywhere. It was because they were looking for something different. Non traditional.

I describe my wedding dress designs as non-traditional: comfortable, sexy and the kind of dresses that make you feel effortlessly beautiful. I love adding details with lace, making each of them unique and embrace each bride’s personality. I love to add a touch of color, and I love flow and movement.

I mostly create wedding dresses for the free spirited brides, the brides that dream to get married under the stars, or anywhere out in the nature, brides that dream to get married on a cliffside in Scotland or other unique European or exotic destination.

I wrote a pretty long introduction hoping to get you dreaming about your own wedding and … wedding dress.

A few things to consider when choosing your wedding dress:

  1. pick a dress that brings out the artistic side of you.

  2. ask yourself what are the first three words that describe the way you want to look and to feel on your wedding day.

  3. you have two very favorites? pick the wedding dress that makes YOU feel most beautiful.

  4. If your wedding dress is an important piece of your wedding, take your time to find it.

Most brides I get to help are very particular about their dresses, to the point they feel bad and they feel too “picky”. There is no such a thing as a “picky bride”. It’s YOUR special day and you are searching for your dream dress.

“Am I going to love my non traditional dress years from now?” seems to be a common question. The answer is YES! I got to work with brides wanting to restyle their mother or grandmother’s wedding dresses. Most of those dresses were nontraditional. They were unique, pieces of art and today they have so much more artistic value.

Don’t be afraid to say YES to your non traditional wedding dress.
